Any soft bristle toothbrush can be used. Beware of hard bristle toothbrush as long term usage can damage the gum, cause recession, and increase enamel wear. The best way to prevent cavity is to brush twice a day, two minutes each time, and make sure you look at the mirror while brushing to ensure you get all the nooks and crannies in the mouth.
According to American Dental Association, and American Pregnancy Association, women who are pregnant can be seen. In fact, pregnant women are encouraged to visit the dentist before baby comes because healthier mouth in the mom equates to healthier mouth in the child. (Bacteria can be transmitted via kissing and spoon-feeding.)
Any toothpaste contains fluoride and has the ADA label on the packaging can be used. Beware of charcoal toothpaste because it whitens the teeth by sanding off the surface stained layer. While it can effective, overdoing can cause sensitivity in the teeth.
